Std Bank kicking me straight into the streets! No care for what I will eat or where I will sleep after being a loyal customer for years.

Worst experience with Std Bank since the 24th July.

My salary has been stuck in an RCP due to a reason Std Bank has thumb sucked. I called the call center over 9 times and spoke to 9 different people including the client relations centre who were equally as useless.

I transferred my entire salary into my RCP with the understanding that funds become available once the 15% limit is reached. To my suprise, I was unable to transact on my RCP due to an "insufficient message" alert that popped up.

I called the Std Bank call centre on th 24th July to enquire and the agent advised that it was because the funds had not cleared and I should wait 24 hours and it would clear.

On Wednesday morning I tried to transact and nothing had changed, Called Std ank again and after speaking to 8 different agents, No one had a clue what was happening.

I resorted to calling the client relations center to log a call, spoke with an agent who advised me that a block has been placed on the RCP and there was no intention of removing it as my credit score had changed . I explained that I was unemployed for the first 4 months of 2017 and only started working again on 1 May .I called Std bank on numerous occasions to update them on my situation and mage arrangements but it clearly meant nothing. When I recieved my 1st salary at the end of May, after being unemployed for 4 months , Std bank decided to debit 2 installments for the backlog on my RCP account which I accepted and left as is. My RCP was now up to date.

They continued debiting my account in June for the normal instalment and the next debit is meant to go off end July.

Now my salary i stuck in an RCP - where they did not even communicate the "block" to me at all.

All my debit orders have bounced and I am being charged by the same Std bank for each returned debit. I cannot pay rent , my car , school fees or any of my other commitments for July which will now place me in an even worse situation because Std Bank is being greedy and are refusing to understand the ripple effect that theirdecision is having on my life. All my payments for end of July will not be met and my credit score will surely be impacted...on top of that..What will I eat , How will I commute to work?

My greatest disappointment lies in the fact that I have banked with Std Bank for over 6 years, When you have money you are treated differently, when you're facing challenges then you become a nobody and are swept aside. There is no care for the customer experience or empathy, no intrest in trying to understand the real challenges that we as their clients face on a day to day basis.

I went into the branch on 27 July to try and speak to the branch manager as advised by one of the agents at the Client retentions centre. I was reffered to the sales team leader instead , who I am yet to recieve feedback from. I called the client Retentions center to try and locate the referance number of the complaint i logged with them last week and guess what, No complaint exists on the system - So once again the Client Relations centre has failed me and possibly many other clients in my situation. I have logged a new complaint today , Lets see if anyone is empathetic enough to put themselves in my shoes and truly see the negative impact and mess. Std Banks adverts everywhere talk about how we are all "going" somewhere but we are not all getting there in the same way. Is this what they meant ? I am going nowhere but to sleep on the streets and I dont see Std Bank coming with me on that journey! So Std Bank - I ask you.....What is My NEXT? Your values talk about serving you customers - How does your solution to my problem meet my needs right now?
