STD BANK CARD DIVISION HARRASMENT
0n the 2nd January 2019 R3000.00 was withdrawn from my Credit Card without my knowledge. I discovered this on the 26th January 2019. I immediately repoeted this to the Standard Bank Card Division. My card was blocked and I was given a Reference No. On the 19th February, I was contacted by the Card Division and told that it was my card, my pin, and my chip that had been used. How this was possible, I don't know, because I still had the card in my possession. I had been in hospital/convelacent home for the past 4 months, recovering from a broken hip. I came home on the 30th December 2018. I was using a frame to walk at the time and was unable to drive. How I could have withdrawn the money on the 2nd January, 2019 is beyond me. I have never, at any time given my card or my pin number to ANYBODY! I opened a case of ***** with the SAPS on the advice of the Card Division. The Police are still investigating. Then the harrasment from the Card Division started. I was phoned by the Card Division up to 5 times and week, sometimes twice a day! Each time I had to explain to a different consultant every time. This went on for 3 weeks. I then sent an email to the Card Division complaining about harrasment by their staff. A month later, it started again. I was told that I was responsible for this amount (with added commissions). Finally in desperation, I paid the outstanding amount, which I hadn't drawn, and asked them to close the account. It took me a couple of visits to the bank, to get the Credit Card closed. They even had the audacity to ask me why I wanted to close the card! I am fed up and tired of fighting with them Regards Lesley Fouche (Pensioner) SASOLBURG.
