STD Bank allowed online card purchase without my permission

How in the world is it possible that standard bank allows online card purchases to go through, WITHOUT me giving an OTP to authenticate the transaction??? Yesterday I was booking a guesthouse online, but when it came to the payment, I saw it was in USD. Scared that it might be a ****, I cancelled the transaction only to find the damn bank allowed the transaction, even though I CANCELLED it and NOT enter an OTP!! This is ridiculous. I've logged it as *****. Standard bank's response? Oh, they have to log a dispute with the other company's bank. THEY ARE ****MING PEOPLE, OF COURSE THEY ARE NOT GOING TO ADMIT TO DOING IT!! Now I'm R1600 out of pocket with absolutely no help from the **** show called belowStandard Bank.

You apologizing for inconveniences does not fix the issue of STD Bank allowing payments without my consent or authorization. If you rep**** and said you willsee what you can do to retrieve the money, I would've changed the rating. But you simply saying 'we are comitted to giving good service' when thats clearly just an automated response, makes my decision to change my bank easier.
