Stay away from Standard bank

So I handle my mom’s insurance and the household, we are insured by Standard Bank - South Africa we had storms in kzn roof was punched by hail and the house moved due to heavy rains. I called Standard Bank Group and they said they would send someone through but no one came through till I called again. I spoke to a guy who was drunk that was meant to come inspect our house, he said they would come the next week. Finally when then they came they told us the house is old etc.... I was livid as all the damage was due to the heavy rains in KZN.

Point is I’m sure Standard bank sent someone drunk to to assess what was the damage. Even though he explicitly said that rains have moved our wall, clearly in his drunk state he submitted wrong paperwork saying damage was due to wear and tear.

Point is move away from Standard Bank insurance. They don’t pay plus they send drunk people to do assessments. To this point we have had to struggle to fix my moms house.
