Stannic - follow your dreams then lose it all

I bought my car through Stannic five years ago. It was a long and arduous process because they had made a mistake with their online promise of finance. Every month I have faithfully paid my vehicle finance. I have banked with Standard Bank for over a decade. In July last year I was unexpectedly retrenched. As a good customer I immediately informed Standard Bank and was told that any money whatsoever that went into that account would be confiscated. In the interim I was unable to meet car finance. I approached Stannic and explained the problem. They referred me to their legal representatives but despite emails and calls nothing was ever done. I have now been told that the car is due for repossession. A notification was apparently stuck to the gate of a property I resided in 8 years ago. Standard Bank and Stannic both had the new address - it was eight years ago after all. My wife spoke to Neels who was adamant that notification had been served even though it was delivered to the wrong property. Six weeks before I was retrenched I was able to increase my overdraft online with no questions asked yet now they argue that the fact that Stannic delivered the notification to the wrong place that it is binding. I am 100% positive that there was a credit guarantee insurance on the amount for the vehicle. As the major bread winner I was out of a job for 7 months. My family and I went from surviving to facing the prospect of living under a bridge. We have tried several times to negotiate a payment agreement that we can afford yet get nothing back in return. In May last year I was asked to make a salary sacrafice so I app**** to renegotiate my finance this was approved but then with the retrenchment and the negligence of my "private banker" I am now sitting in this mess. People say they will assist and then come back and say that the CEO's office has instructed them to do nothing. They could have spoken with me at any time but chose not to. Without a car - that i am more than willing to make a reasonable monthly installment for, I have no job. No job, no home - basically my family and I will land up on the street

Good Afternoon. The Sheriff was here this morning we have to get this sorted. We have tried and tried. I am sure there is credit guarantee insurance on the vehicle as well. We told Stannic in advance that Tim had been retrenched. We gave them the documents. Posting a legal document on the gate of a house we lived in 9 years ago is not legal and the Sheriff has no proff of delivery. Is this how business is conducted in this country? We need to fix this asap as you said

OK Ms Martin. I was under the impression that sme sort of communicaion would be generated by the bank in order to sort this out. However, last night two little bully boys entered the complex under faslse pretensions, originally claimed that they were the Sheriff, and then when proof was requested admitted that they in fact we no such thing and were actually waiting for the Sheriif. Woman by the name of Bianca. She does not listen and shouts you down before you have uttered three words. This whole situation which we have been struggling for a year to correct has now resulted in the loss of a vehicle.
