Standard Insurance must close down

Good day

I registered my property with Standard Bank a few years ago. Everything was in order, or so I thought.(Electrical Compliance Certificate was approved and signed off)

I now needed some electrical jobs done on the premises. The Electricians who provided me with a quote refuses to work on my property. They got into the roof and advised that the Electrical connections are all wrong and that my property could have burned to the ground a very long time ago, and that we are lucky to be alive.

I brought this to the Bank attention only to be told that it is my fault. I am to blame for any electrical defects on the premises because I am now aware of it. But this came to my attention when trying to get work done.

I was the buyer of the property, and had no say in the Electrical Compliance Certificate to the Bank before or on Time of Registration of the Bond.

The lady taking my call had such attitude and demanded that she will place a note on the system that I am to blame and at fault if any electrical defects would to happen on the property as a result of someone who could not just do their jobs a few years back.

please advise how I can now be blamed for this?
