Standard Bank wrongly deducted fees for 18 months, but will only pay back 6 months - that's theft!

<p>Standard Bank has been wrongfully deducting monthly fees for a "garage card" that I have not had for several years now, having last used such a card in 2011. First they tried to talk their way out of it, coming up with a variety of pathetic reasons. Then they admitted it and reimbursed me a small part of the deducted fees. When I took it up again, they then said they would reimburse me for 6 months, although they deducted these fees for 18 months or longer. They refuse to reimburse any more than that. Sp the bottomline is: they stole my money for 18 months, but will only pay back for 6 months. I have spent hours on phone calls and emails with them - no joy. A person must watch your bank statements with a hawk's eye or your money will just disappear.</p>
