I have been trying to work with Standard Bank to wind up a very simple estate for over a year, which seems like an unacceptably long time. The department functions as a black hole into which communications and information disappears and nothing ever comes out! Never entrust your will, nor the executorship thereof, to Standard Bank, especially if you have heirs that are still directly dependant on you. At a time when professionalism and efficiency are sorely needed, Standard Bank Wills and Trusts is a lacking in both, and I recommend avoiding them at all costs.
