Standard Bank Vehicle Finance

My vehicle is financed by Standard Bank Vehicle Finance. The vehicle is still under warrantee. and Ford has imported a new engine. For the new engine to be registered to the vehicle, a few documents have to presented to the licensing authorities. This request was sent to Standard bank on the 20 February. The log book was provided immediately and the letter was going to be sent with 3 days. On the 27 February, I queried the status of the letter and was told that they are sorry but it was not processed. It will take a further 48 hours. On the 2 March, I once again queried the status of the letter and was told that it will be made available on the 18 March (in 16 days time). I then insisted to speak to a supervisor. He has subsequently requested 4 documents before he can proceed. 1) Proof of substitution (the vehicle is NOT being substituted). 2) New Natis document. (This is only available when the new engine is registered). 3) proof that the vehicle is insured. (Why -- we are only replacing the engine) 4) Zero Tax invoice (Why). Standard bank is painfully slow to react. Have no concept of customer satisfaction. I am sure that they would have done this numerous times and thus should lead the way and advice me, their client. In the current scenario the client has to fight Standard bank to get things done. Most forward thinking organizations value their clients. Sadly Standard bank does not.

Today I received this:
Did the client inform Licensing department when the engine was changed? --No The engine cannot be changed without Standard bank (As the owners) give permission. Hence we require the letter.
If so client needs to provide us with the confirmation received from the licensing department a request must be logged on customer 1st for the details to be amended on the system. – Moot point as the engine has not yet been changed. As we are waiting permission from the Standard bank
There after a new Natis with the new engine number needs to be requested however client needs to pay R310 for a duplicate. Let’s get the letter then we can proceed
Once funds are paid a request must be logged for the duplicate Natis on with the POP. Let’s get the letter then we can proceed
Please see attached banking details for payment to be made. Give me the letter
