Standard bank VAF are *****, ****** and have employees who don't know what their doing and have poor service
Dear Hello Peter, I am so disappointed with the pathetic poor service that I got from standard bank VAF and I wish my late mother would have never taken out a car through Standard Bank. My mother passed away 5 Months back and as her only daughter who's left I had to take full ownership of her belongings as I went to the Bank in Somerset mall Cape Town to inform them of the passing of my late mother and providing them with the death certificate including the letter of executorship which I got from the master high court which states that I'm now in control of everything. The lady at the bank took my documents and scanned them as the deceased department requested for them so that they can record this on the system and provide me with further information as to how much the balance is which they did and they confirmed with me that I need to continue paying the monthly installment till November 2020 as my mother requested for an extension of payment and the bank agreed because she was suppose to finish it in October but there was a month added, but that's not the case. The bank handed over the account to the attorneys which are Bham and Dahya, funny enough when they called me on my number which I provided the deceased department, they said they didn't know that my mother passed away, how stupid because if they didn't then how the hell did they get my number?? To cut the story short. The attorneys requested an outstanding amount of R1630 which I had no problem paying as I never missed a month of payment and wasn't even informed that there was an amount short which I feel it wasn't really necessary for the bank to send the account to the attorneys as if I refused paying. But never the less, I paid the amount that was needed and now that I have to get the papers of the vehicle as I have finished paying it there is an outstanding amount which I don't know where it's coming from. I went to the bank to ask them to explain to me where it's coming from and guess what, no one could explain to me the first agent over the phone from VAF department (Mpumelelo Nyembe A237737) first said there wasn't anything recorded that my mother passed away, but luckily I had all the documents with me and I asked one of the assistants at the bank to scan the documents again to them and once he got everything he couldn't provide me with the information that I needed and kept on going around circles and he placed me on hold and transferred me to another department and I waited for 1 and a half hours on the phone and when they picked up the line got dropped. I called again, (mind you I have other errands to take care of but I had to stay the whole entire day at a bank) and the lady who answered said again to me that there's no record of my mother's passing and she can't assist me, I had to ask again for the lady at the bank to scan my documents and send it to her. And she still couldn't help me with this.
I'm sick and tired of all of this as I want answers as to what's really going on with my mother's car financing as I need the papers to transfer the ownership to my name before this letter of executorship expires because if it does I will be stuck.
