Standard Bank uCount Awards - Impossible to close account

It is impossible to cancel my credit card. Every time I settle the balance, charges creep in and I can't cancel my account. And when I finally managed to settle my account, they say that I need to close my uCounts first. Surely the consumer protection act will have something to say about that.
