Standard Bank South Africa *******ly debits ACC
When I signed for my new homeloan August 2014 I declined insurance from Standard Bank because its already in place with our sectional title. I didn't bother checking my account, I get debited monthly and that's fine.I received a mail from SBSA insurers April 2015 welcoming me to their insurance, first time they communicated this to me. I called Home loans immediately complained, told them I declined the insurance and if they think otherwise they must provide me a signed document where I accepted the insurance. This mean't for 8 months they have taken R1169.32 per month as insurance payment *******ly R9354.56! Needless to say no proof and no communication until on the 7 May when I received an EFT for R5021.65, I called and asked where the other R4332.91 was! Eden the team leader promised to investigate immediately and call me back - NO CALL. I tweeted to @standardbankZA, they responded said someone would urgently call me NO CALL. I called 25 May spoke to Belinda a team leader who promised to call me back NO CALL. SO NO CALLS NO MONEY NO SERVICE. Firstly it's ******* to debit an account without my permission and secondly it should not take 6 weeks to resolve!!! OMBUDSMAN here i come
