Standard bank salary switching non existent

I have a standard bank credit card that has been deducting from my Capitec bank account on the 31st of every month. Then in January 2017 I started receiving my salary on the 15th of every month. I tried to call the credit card division to effect this change but alas, no one at the credit card division ever answers calls. I would hold on for longer periods without anyone from the call centre answering my call. The reality is, I don't not have unlimited time to go to the bank and make free calls which they provide especially when the same calls are not answered. Secondly I don't have unlimited call plans to make very long calls to call centres which never answer calls. I then opened a cheque account mid February. I did not want to utilise the salary switching facility then as I was sceptical. However I had a change if mind and decided to give it a try. After I opened I went to Standard Bank account Lock Logan branch in Bloemfontein on the 19th of February 2017 to do Salary switching. I did everything i was supposed to do. Interestingly, one account to be switched was the credit card account. I was happy in that at least my credit card account would also be switched to my new Standard Bank cheque account and be deducted on the 15th.

However, on the second of March 2017, i discovered that my credit card was suspended on the basis that payment was not provided for. How is that possible when I did salary switching? The salary switching service should be quicker for Standard Bank products shouldn't it? Now if its not quicker for Standard Bank products, then why should we trust it?

Regarding Standard Bank call centre, that unit is a total mess. I have been abke to change all my other accounts telephonically to the 15th of every month except for Standard Bank credit card. This is pathetic for a bank that should be moving forward.
