Standard bank ****** me of my holiday

i am a 75 year old pensioner and decided to see my grand daughter and great grandson. To do this i went on holiday to Cape Town. However, upon arrival i was surprised to find that all my funds had been Frozen. T. When i inquired with Standard Bank, they advised me that they had frozen all my accounts due to fica. 20 odd years i have been with Standard Bank, then this. I could buy food and the only money that i had on me was the cash in my handbag.

At the time that i arrived in Cape Town i had an odd R39 000.00 in my account. Despite this, the Standard Bank took it and didn't give me a cent. When i asked if my grandson to send me money, i was advised that the bank would not allow me to draw it.

After 2 days i was starving. I cut my holiday short as i was unable to maintain myself.

The part that makes me most upset is that Standard Bank didn't care, not even a sorry. My grandson said i should sue, but i don't want to get involved in litigation. All i can say is that you must be careful if you leave your money with Standard Bank, they will take it in a moments notice and when you need it that most.
