Standard bank refused to give me my money

On the 28th of June 2019 i went to Standard Bank Centurion Money gram bureau de Change intending to receive money sent from the U.K via Money gram as I have done before and buy forex. I have been an account holder for the past 13 years. I completed all necessary documents and Noluthando did a security verification if I was the intended receiver and account holder. She then refused to process my transaction saying that the sender only completed my first name and surname and didn’t put my 2nd name initial. I explained to her that it was not necessary as I had received money via Money gram before and that I was an account holder with the bank. I requested to see the manager (Jan Steyn) and she went for close to 5mins. Instead of her showing me where the manager`s office is, she came with him and obviously after giving him her reasons for refusing to complete the transaction. Jan and Noluthando said that Money Gram requests both names on the form and have problems with a single name. He requested that I should contact the sender to amend the transaction to include that which I refused as I knew I won`t be able to reach him as he will be at work. Would I just dream of a Reference number from Money gram with my name and surname? This caused a lot of inconvenience as the sender`s banker (Barclays U.K) had to reverse the transaction from Money gram . They misrepresented the truth to me saying that its mandatory that both names should appear on the receiver`s form. I have proof of receiving money with my first name and surname several times before at the bank. The manager should have seriously looked into the matter, verified the rules with Money Gram and not toe the line just because your fellow employee has said so and automatically its right. In this case you acted as an employee reporting to the teller. According to MoneyGram its optional to put in the 2nd name and 2nd Surname of the receiver, so then why would you add your own rule as if you are now Money Gram? You are free to logon to their website verify.
