Standard bank refuse to close accounts after multiple attempts! still getting billed!!

<p>I moved away from Standard Bank in May 2016 due to poor service.</p> <p>having closed the account for the first time a few weeks later a debt came off the account in error - thus the account was not closed.</p> <p>i then went back in paid up the account and reclosed my CC and Debit Card.</p> <p>low and behold 2017 i am still getting spam calls from Standard Bank.</p> <p>so i take one of them and am informed i Owe R700 odd for purely banking fees because the accounts were not closed!!</p> <p>*** Standard Bank. how useless are you?</p> <p>and no, i am cetainly not paying you for a service i have tried multiple times to cancel.</p>
