Standard bank ran a credit check on me which I did not give permission to.
Standard bank ran a credit check on me which I did not give permission to and was shocked to see this on my credit score as I didn't contact them with regards to any sort of loan! I am not looking to take anything or any loan so this is very upsetting because who gave them permission to do this check? This is a clear violation of the POPI act and for such a big bank this is absolutely appalling. I've been calling them all day and literally no one has been any of assistance. One of the people I spoke to was Abigail from transactions who just dropped the call on me after explaining what I was calling about. Now I just have a big fat SABSA CHEQUE2 inquiry on my credit score report which is affecting my credit score!
