Standard Bank POS systems down

Attempted to make a purchase at Sportsman warehouse Fourways Crossing on 11 Dec @ 13:48, however POS systems are not able to process transactions from Standard Bank cards. ERROR 39. Standard bank did not advise me as a customer, of the technical problem that they apparently have been experiencing since the morning of the same day. Further they were not able to provide authorisation over the phone as it is a cheque card. So as a customer i get left red faced with a card that us declining because of Standard banks technical error that they failed to advise me as a client in the first place, & then were not able to assist as a result. Sorry doesnt help. Standard bank needs to get their act & service together.
