Standard Bank Paid up letter

We have two Standard Bank Vehicle finance accounts( a/c *** and ***). Account *** has a judgement and account *** is being handled by Standard bank attorneys that we made payment arrangements with.

• On the 13/07/2020, I was phoned by Ramothello Attorneys on behalf of Standard Bank, saying our total outstanding balance for account *** was R263 033.83 and they were offering us a 40% settlement discount. That meant we were supposed to pay R157 820.29 as a full and final payment. • I told the attorneys that due to the low business caused by COVID 19, we were unable to pay that much and we end up agreeing to a settlement of R131 516.00. • Before we made the payment I requested the same attorneys to negotiate a settlement discount for the second account *** and in liaison with Standard Bank the promised to give us a high discount if we paid the first account. • We made a full payment of R131 516.00 on the 14/07/2020 and emailed proof of payment to Ramothello Attorneys. • The following day I requested for a paid up letter from the attorneys and I was told to wait for a week for it, since they were now working on how much discount they were going to give us for the second account. • A week later they requested for bank statements in order to evaluate how much discount to give us on the second account. • On the 11/08/2020, Waroeschka from Standard bank told the attorneys to request a further payment of R36 893.15 from us for the first account ***. • Now he was saying they offered us a settlement amount of R168 409.15 in the beginning and which is not true. • In his email to the attorneys, he is now saying in the beginning they offered us 50% discount, and if we are to calculate it from the original balance of R263 033.83, we get R131 516.91. Now we don’t know where R168 409.15 is coming from. • Waroeschka is saying if we do not pay an additional R36 893.15 within the next 7day, we must pay R222 456.57. • The question is how does it get to R222 456.57 from R263 033.83 after paying R131 516.00 ?

ALL WE WANT IS A PAID UP LETTER, SINCE WE PAID THE AGREED SETTLEMENT AMOUNT.
