Standard Bank Not Moving Forward in Homeloan Dept
I app**** for a homeloan through my bond originator on Friday 26th February, 2016. My bond originator called me this morning 07/03/2016 to inform me that Standard Bank had turned down my application based on me being a \RISK\". This did not make any sense to me whatsoever. Prior to my loan application, I did a credit check and scored 977. Up to today I have never defaulted on any of my payments and always make sure they are done in a timely manner. Yet Standard Bank South Africa declined my application! I aired my grievance on twitter and was advised to go back to Standard Bank and inquire with a Consultant who would explain why my application was declined. I couldn't believe it! I am unhappy with the outcome of my homeloan application, which I think has not been properly evaluated (nonsensical risk outcome as i know my credit rating score) - now I am being told that I need to go to a branch to seek out a consultant to get an explanation for why my application was turned down?! Is this how Standard Bank treats potential clients who have shown intent and are displeased with the outcome of the initial evaluation? Can't the bank be proactive based on my confusion? Shocked..."
