Standard Bank "Not moving Africa forward"

<p>App**** for a further home loan on the 18th of April 2016, a month later the application (application number ***) is still pending. It took credit the first 2 weeks to do credit check, a week for the house evaluator (to finalise evaluation after assessing), then the application went back to credit (not sure why but I don’t understand what credit check was done the first 2 weeks). Afterwards I was informed of an IT fault that was delaying the granting of the application, on the 18th of May 2016, I was finally told the application is now with the loan short fall department (because i app**** for less money than what is required by the builder, i would expect credit for managing to save part of the money). Now a frustrated customer as the bank keeps coming up with stories, considering I was informed the application takes 10 days and I also informed the consultant from the start that I want to finalise my building before it starts raining in cape town. Standard bank, this is not moving Africa forward or “We're with you every step”. Your service is pathetic and now I have to get new quotations for most of the materials and the bond registration fee quote (from the lawyers). All these quotations were done after the bank informed me, it takes 10 days. </p>
