Standard bank not liable

I feel sad that I have to move to another bank, because of a withdrawal that was made in my account without my acknowledgment. after reporting the matter to my bank which is standard bank they tell me they are not liable for what had happened. so if I continue using this bank and problem occurs then I will be working on a loss. what I don't understand I'd if my card was with me but somebody managed to withdraw how I'm I suppose to know who is it and how they did it because I have the card with me, with standard bank poor notifications process. if I'm a regular at that atm where the ***** took place, does that mean it might be me and I might have forgotten? this is unfair. how do I look after my money if is in my bank because I tend to think it's safe there. Now I have lost my money and standard bank is telling me they are not liable and they can't help me. How unfair and frustrating

What I understand now is whatever happens in my account I am not protected by the bank. there is a possibility that my card was cloned but I'm the suspect. is the case of cloning cards not fami**** if it is what procedure do banks have to protect us against this con artist, surely some of us cannot keep up with brave ******** minds.
