standard bank not forthcoming about insurance term

joined STD bank insurance last year they advised they would debit me on the 1st of each month. Most companies give the CUSTOMER the choice. I moved to CT and advised me they could no longer do business with me,no longer feasible?I had to call them to find out if I was still insured as payments hadn't stopped. my house was burgled on 16.10 and me and my housemate put claims from our insurances, hers paid out. reputable STD did not.It's been3 weeks since I submitted. First I called explained everything to REBA,claims consultant. My laptop had been ******, was assured someone will call within a few days.A few days later I followup and told a claims guy had called JUST ONCE couldn't reach me and never called again. Tried his number several times and he was unreachable. Then I called Reba again who advised that my laptop would not be replaced as its not covered. Why didn't she tell me when I called the first time? Why wasn't I told when I joined? I then asked that she please ask this gentleman to call me back and 3 weeks later no call!My claim should be fulfilled by Std bank as I was not offered the choice to add it or not add it! Why was this not made clearer?<br>
