Standard Bank No Security on funds

After months of trying to get an issue with debiting of my account being done incorrectly, and Standard bank promising me it has been sorted but not sorted, I will be closing my account with Standard bank. I have been paying fees for failed debit orders and other costs due to their negligence and failure to ensure my monies are safe.

They are also not refunding me knowing it is their fault, and have told me they welcome me to close my account with them.

If you want to join standard bank, rather do not. Rather pay more bank charges with another bank and ensure security of your money. I strongly advise if you are a Standard bank client, have a look at your bank statement to see that you are actually paying for things that you own or belong to you.

Good bye Standard bank, thank you for your terrible service and even worst security and experience. I will open an account with ABSA bank.

Good morning Mr Naransamy I refer to your complaint you logged on the Hello Peter website and would like to apologise for the delay in responding to this matter. Your complaint is with regards to the fact that discovery Card is debiting your account. I see that my colleague dealt with the same matter last year November and she contacted Discovery to informed them about this and they advised that they will stop the debit order from being processed. Kindly be advised that the bank does not have control of debit orders going through an account as the bank is only a payment mechanism to make sure that the debit order is paid. The bank can load a stop payment on your account but this is not guaranteed because if the amount change or any detail on the reference number the debit order will go through. In light of this, you will have to make contact with discovery directly to advise them to stop debiting your account as the bank tried to sort out this out with them previously but yet they still debiting your account. They will also have to refund the fees for you because if you do not have a card with them they need take responsibility for their mistake of debiting your account. Kindly be advised that we will not be able to assist any further with this matter and we will be closing this complaint from our side. I trust this response is in order.

Hello I will post this response on hello peter as well as on social media so clients of standard bank can see their money is not safe. I have an account with standard bank who has received proof from discovery that this card is not mine. I am your client and you are knowingly allowing a third party to ***** money from my account and like always are saying this is my fault and I need to sort it out. My nerves have reached an end with standard bank. I will close my account tomorrow. Please notify your branch in forest hill mall to expect me in the am. I will move my account to ABSA. I will not atop posting to social media and hello peter until I am certain you lose as many clients as possible. Your colleague dealt with nothing and you have assisted with nothing. So stop wasting my time yet again. I have made contact with the ombudsman and will be consulting my lawyer regarding legal charges of theft against standard bank.
