Standard bank no compasion with the sick elderly
Good day
Myself and my husband are very upset with the service from Standard Bank.
My mother in law has been diagnosed with Terminal Breast Cancer stage 4 and was given a limited life expectancy , she is not mobile can’t walk.
We opened an online banking profile for her as she wants to transfer her money into her son’s bank account for funeral etc.
The limit is currently set at R0.00 as she never had online banking, and we were told that she needs to go into the bank to set the limit when we made it very clear that she is immobile and can’t walk, she is permanently on oxygen and can’t get to the bank.
If someone can assist us in pushing up her transfer limit on her banking profile we would greatly appreciate that as she CANT go into the bank to do this.
She can’t hold on the line for a consultant or answer any difficult questions as she is 72 years old and gets panic attacks.
I have attached the letter from the doctor stating her condition and I am pretty sure that someone might have some compassion and assist in the matter. You can contact her son Richard Worden on ********** if you need any more information. The service from Standard Bank to try and assist an old lady by pushing up her transfer limit is horrible and I sincerely hope someone can assist in this matter. Below is her details and I am pretty sure that you can assist with one simple request. Jacqueline Worden
