Standard Bank never gave a little damn.

About 2 or 3 years back a woman got her money withdrew anonymously, minutes after using the ATM at the Vryheid branch. The money was withdrawn in four different transaction. For the first 2 withdrawals she was still outside. The last 2 transactions were made while she was inside the bank, when she tried to skip the front desk queue. Before she could talk, she was told to join the back of the queue and that's when these last 2 transactions took place. The withdrawn amount totaled R11000. What's funny is, she already exhausted her daily limit before the transactions took place. She was told to open up the case with the SAPS. Her case was reviewed, after months, of travelling up and down for the progress of the case. The claim was not successful. When I asked her, "On what grounds?" she didn't even know, WHY. I guess the Bank found that the woman stole her money. The woman had had enough, so she bowed to it, she's old. Born and raised in the times of Apartheid our parents submit so easily. What's even more funnier is my mother is still using Standard Bank (she never left them) and I'm still using Standard Bank. I don't know why.
