Standard Bank moving backwards

On the morning of the 8th September 2016 I paid money over to a ********** ABSA account at 8:54. I realized something is wrong with this transaction within a 1/2 hour. I immediately contacted ABSA to stop this account with the information given to me from the ABSA ********** client; they assured me they can do nothing for me I need to go through Standard Bank. Within 1 hour after transaction I did a recall for this money from Standard Bank and within 1 hour and 18 minutes this case was reported to the ***** division from Standard Bank. I urged both department of the seriousness of this recall and prompt them to do the recall and stop this account from ABSA. The reverence nr form Ms. Jannicke Hill Ref Nr RF 105668.

Still they lost my money.

The following responses shocked me from Standard Bank.

1) The day after the recall was done another employee send me another recall form to complete, do they not interact with each other. How did they miss the first Recall?

2) The reply from Recall on the 19 of September 2016 from Ms. Jannicke Hill why they lost the money was shocking, 1.Insufficient funds 2.Invalid account 3.No authority to debit 4.Timeline Exceeded 5.Not on Tape – what a contradictory feedback.

3) The ********** division never gave me feedback what happened to the money up to today, even with forward this to case thru Ms. Martha Msiza to Mr. Rajen Gareeb and Mr. Bilal Kajee the heads of that department.

4) This case was forward to the customer care division Johanna Kele with feedback that I did not report this to the ***** division but I did report this to the ***** division, I have mail to prove that and an confirmation from Ms. Evelyn Vermeulen and Jele Wilile whom asked for the SAPS case nr. She also stated there are no guarantees from Standard Bank to get back the money

My conclusion is the following Standard Bank is not interested to protect you as a client in ********** cases even if they have all the data in hand. Standard Bank had more than enough time to stop this money on both ends – the Recall division and the ********** division, both failed. If a financial institution as Standard Bank has reasonable time to stop this transaction don’t hide behind the fact that there are no guarantees.

If you are considering making Standard Bank your bank please think twice. There is a better option than Standard Bank as a financial institution. Have a look in the media how much ********** cases do Standard Bank have against them and please reconsider, they are not able to protect you. This case was forward to the Banking ombudsman and I anxiously await feedback from them.
