Standard Bank Motor Assist Cover

I keep getting emails (and SMSes) from Standard Bank Motor Assist Cover saying I need to provide proof of my car insurance, but they go to spam and also those documents provide personal information that we are warned not to send. I reported it to your phishing email address and I have no idea if this is real or not. They say they are going to charge me - quoted here "monthly premium of R 1296.14 together with your finance instalment" unless I send them documents. This is ridiculous, I don't understand how I am signed up for extra insurance without any agreement from my side. Please can someone look into this for me.
