Standard Bank - Most Unhelpfull Bank!!!!

Last year I paid up my loan that I had with Standard Bank. I contacted them to ask them to close my account. They told me they cannot do it over the phone. I told them that they opened it over the phone, why can't they close it over the phone - no answer.<br> <br> I emailed them about 20 times. Worst service ever!!!! They could not assist me. They did NOT close my fully paid account, but continued to charge me interest on a fully paid loan. I had to waste my time to go to a bank and close it. They assisted me, but I lost a lot of money as I had to pay interest (on a fully settled account).<br> <br> They confirmed that the loan account is closed. <br> <br> Now I received a sms from Standard Bank recovery that my account was overdue!!!!!! I contacted them and once again they are unable to assist me over the phone and they cannot close the \CLOSED\" account!!!<br> <br> I am sick and tired of the POOR service at Standard Bank!. I told them I am not going to waste my time and petrol to go to a branch and close the account AGAIN!!"
