Standard Bank Misleading Advertising

On the 28 September 2020 and on the 02 October 2020 I received the following message from Standard Bank:

“Standard Bank: Hi Samukelisiwe, we don't want you missing out. Get R200 paid into your account for swiping your card, drawing cash or buying airtime or electricity before 19 October. Need some help with your account? Reply help for a call back. #ItCanBe. Std rates apply. Free and bundled rates do not apply. Reply stop to opt out.”

I subsequently swiped my card on the 12 October 2020 and did not receive the aforementioned R200. I then went to the Standard Bank branch at Gateway Mall to enquire. The consultant who assisted me gave me a number of reasons (why I did not receive the R200) which are not mentioned in the above message. Her reasons were: this is a competition and the R200 is not guaranteed, receiving the R200 also depends on how many times I swipe my Standard Bank card and this is a bait to make customers swipe their cards.

I escalated the matter to Standard Complaint Resolution Center nine days ago and they have not rep****.
