Standard Bank Merchant Services - Not Reliable - Stinks

Our Company has been a client of Standard Bank for many years. Their Merchant Services is much to be desired!!! Each busy period they damned credit card machines and/or service fail. Yet again on 23rd December 2017 the service is NON EXISTANT leaving vendors losing THOUSANDS OF RANDS in sales. From about 9am on one of the busiest trading days of the year, most of our stores could not process any transaction on the credit card machines!!!!! Many upset customers and untold amount of lost sales for the day! When you phone their call centre it takes over an hour to get through to a consultant. Then the lame excuses. Eventually, out of absolute frustration I eventually managed to speak to a "manager" who promised to call me back and keep me posted - well.......... not ONE update despite her promises to call me every 15 minutes to keep me informed of the progress!! SHOCKING, SHOCKING, SHOCKING. Anybody considering to use Standard Bank for their Merchant Services - STAY AWAY!!! You will land up with NO SERVICE when it is needed most!!!!
