Standard bank luderitz! LISTED ON ITC.. BAD DEBT WRITTEN OFF

Bad debt written off, but now listed on itc. In 2017 I took a small temporary loan of N$10 000 with Standard bank, they were deducting a monthly installment every month for repayment. In 2019 they stopped deducting money and we thought the loan was paid up. In 2021 I get a phone call from the rehabilitation center saying we owe them N$ 13 100.i told the consultant that we not aware of any loans to this value. I explained all loans was settled and paid up. The consult said they would look into the matter and get back to me. This was last year September. The consultant from luderitz branch and the lady from the Windhoek branch said they would check what's going on but didn't bother to call me back to discuss. I told them if there is something outstanding I will make payment arrangements but i first want to know where this outstanding amount comes from.

My husband app**** for a job and the company he was going to be employed by notified up we are listed on Itc and it's a negative thing against my husbands name.

We then discovered that Standard bank listed us on Itc, they say we now owe them N$ 13 900 with all the interest and the outstanding installments. How is this even fair or right? The consultant is saying we should of followed up and made sure the debt was paid.

How can we be listed for bad debt if standard bank wrote it off? They now demanding payment again but refuse to take us off itc. Why should we be listed for something we weren't aware of when standard bank stopped doing a debit order deduction! Who is at fault here!!!

How are suppose to pay debt if you can't get job. Due to having a bad credit record that you weren't aware of.

The interest is so high how are you suppose to catch up with debts if the interest is more than you installments?

The consultants can not explain to me either why they call us about unpaid debt 4 years later! Did they only come out of their Graves now and realize this?

Someone needs to do something about banks like this that think they can treat people like this.

Enough is enough!!

I will never ever set my foot in a standard bank again or use their services if they were the last bank on this earth!

You havent heard the last of us, we Will take this matter further and go to the newspapers if we have to settle this! One way or the other you will be exposed for your ********* practices with clients.
