Standard Bank lost title deeds

Good day

IN November 2014 I approached Standard Bank for assistance in selling my home. Due to my debt issue I app**** for their Easy Sell option. To my understanding everything should happen as soon as possible when selling under this option. The bank finds an estate agent to sell the property. If the agent cannot sell the property the bank will advertise the property for sale. All this has to happen within 6 months.

I was advised by the estate agent at Seeff properties that everything was in order and that transfer would be completed by April. I received an email from the attorneys on 12 April stating that the title deed was lost. Standard Bank could not locate the title deed.

So now the entire process has been dragged out for 6 months. Can somebody please advise how this is even possible? I started renting a place in June as I was advised that the transfer would be complete by 15 June. On Friday we found out the transfer was declined at the deeds office as incorrect affidavits and lord knows what else were incorrect.

All this now means I have to pay a bond and rent for this month. I approached Standard bank for help. All you've given me is grief
