Standard Bank is *********

Standard Bank is *********. Be careful - your money is NOT safe!

WHERE IS MY MONEY?

I am automatically placed on a payment holiday from the 1st of May - without asking for it or being informed of the repercussions of said payment holiday...

I contact Standard Bank to find out why my normal debit didn't go off?

This is the first time I hear about this payment holiday...

By the way, my bond is only around R6000 BUT my standing debit order is for R10,500 every month with an access bond facility!

So in April my surplus in my Homeloan Account was over R12,000 because of the extra money I have been paying...

Today, 23/05/2020 when I went on to transfer these accumulated funds, to my surprise, there was only a R6000 surplus balance left instead of more than R12,000.

So I phone standard bank, surprise surprise, they don't have answers and can't see what is happening in my home-loan account and WHY money has been taken from my account for the bond.

Furthermore, I am told that because of this payment holiday, that I don't have access to MY MONEY anymore and I will not have access to MY FUNDS for another 6 months after this payment holiday...which I did not ask for!!!!!

So please answer me this when you call me on Monday!

1. Who's money is the surplus that gets paid into my account over and above the bond repayment? R10,500 - (bond repayment) = who's money? 2. How dare you "freeze" my surplus funds? 3. How dare you move forward with these arrangements without my consent? 4. How do you claim that I am on some payment holiday, you don't debit my business account, but you continue to debit my home-loan account where my surplus funds have been accumulated?

You better have some serious answers as this is totally unacceptable!

1. I want my money back 2. I want to cancel my standing debit order and ONLY pay what is required 3. I want to know what the procedure, and cost is to move my home-loan to another bank should I decide to do that! 4. I want an explanation as to how you think you can freeze MY MONEY and deny me access to my funds...
