Standard bank is sharing sensitive customer information enabling identity theft.

Standard bank is sharing sensitive customer information enabling identity theft. Standard bank has been sharing customer details with me for some time now. This mail was in the form of emails and included among others, ID copies, account statements, application forms (blank and signed). What is worse is. Standard bank continued sharing sensitive customer information of their clients even after I brought the issue to light.

This is utterly negligent of Standard Bank. Standard Bank is supposed to protect customer details and not share sensitive information (even if names have similar spelling etc.). Customers pays service fees and other fees to make use of a insecure ecosystem in the case of Standard Bank as their downfall in this case was negligent staff that continued the action even after the matter was brought to light.

If I as past Standard Bank customer did not have moral values, the customers whose customer information was shared to me could have been affected negatively by Standard Banks gross negligence.

This matter should be taken to the papers and further. Standard Bank should be fined. Customers should sue for the damage that could have been.
