Standard Bank is ruining my life - threatened listings for debt I never took up

I am unable to get a clearance certificate for my debt review because I apparently have an overdraft with Standard Bank. I do not even have a mere loan with Standard Bank let alone a credit card and I never app**** for an overdraft.

This is hindering my ability to get a clearance Certificate and remove my name from debt review as required by law because I do not and have never been offered or taken up an overdraft with Standard Bank. I keep getting calls from collection agencies saying I owe standard bank more than R3000 and threatened of ITC listings on defaults for a loan or money I never even spent.

I need Standard Bank to give me a paid up letter for this to be resolved because I cannot get my clearance certificate due to this blunder!!!!!!!

What does this response mean? No commitment to resolving this except for telling me to lodge a complaint. I am really disappointed in Standard Ban****!!!! I am still frustrated because no attempt to contact me has been made let alone an assurance that this matter will be dealt with.

I will be reporting this to the NCR, surely I cannot be expected to pay for a debt I never took out.

It looks like after all the airtime I wasted trying to get clarity from Standard Bank, I have to approach the NCR. I find it rather appalling that Standard Bank can handover an account for debt I never took out (apparently its transaction fees) despite the account in question having been dormant for over three years now. I feel so vindicated that I am being bul**** to pay for R3000 plus worth of fees on a dormant account which I tried to close numerous times with no luck. Truly hoping to get my life back because everything is at a standstill because of Standard Ban****!!!
