Standard Bank is ripping their clients off

Standard Bank is ripping their clients off. They’ve put mandate authorisation system in place, which is supposed to give us power and control on who should debit our bank accounts. A twist to this whole process is that they’ve added a note when we try to reverse unauthorised debits that they will charge us R5 for any reversals up to R500 and R10 for any amounts up to R1000. Why should we pay for the bank’s mistakes of allowing ********s to debit our accounts without authorisation from the client? This is de*****ing the masses and making millions if not billions out of us. How many clients does Standard Bank have and how many actually go through this on a weekly/monthly basis, and how much is Standard Bank making out of this ******* practise? This needs to stop and they should pay our money back! In one month I had 3 unauthorised transactions from my bank account and it’s becoming ridiculous to manage my account moving money to other bank accounts. My patience with Standard Bank is running low. To think that I go through all this while being charged more than R200 for monthly bank charges is insane.
