Standard Bank is 'Bleep' Bank

I have been a client of Std bank for more than 20 years. Two weeks ago I tried to open a second current account for my business transactions and requested a credit card. I have never been in debt and in fact my current credit card is in credit, Std Bank actually pays me interest. I have an excellent credit record and was assured that my account will be open ASAP. IT IS TWO WEEKS LATER, GOING ON 3 and their excuse is that my account has been referred to the Credit Department because THE SYSTEM WILL NOT ALLOW PRIVATE BANK CLIENTS TO HAVE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS!!! Really? I have contacted them frequently and still my account has not been opened yet and this morning the private banker said that he hopes to have an answer for me. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! The worst is when I threatened to switch to FNB or ABSA, they did not even seem worried. They are the worst bank ever!!!
