Standard Bank is a nonsense bank

Standard Bank is really a nonsense bank. On Friday my brother went to their branch in Birch Acres to open an account. They told him to come back with a letter from his landlord. On Saturday he went back and they refused to open an account for his because they say they do not accept green ID book. I am talking South African green ID book! And it was in a good condition. The managers and the teller were so rude when we asked for their names so that we can take it to the head office. On the same day I called Standard bank call centre and was put on hold for 27 minutes. I hanged up without even speaking to anyone. I tweeted the bank but they kept giving attention to compliments and not resolving issues. South African IDs do not expire. I advice anyone who would want to open a Standard Bank account to run. They are not worth it!
