Standard Bank introduces OTP on internet banking

Standard bank all of a suden implemented an OTP - One Time Password on their Internet banking site. I provided them with both my e-mail and Canadian cell-phone no to receive the OTP. I receive the OTP on each of the devices but when I enter it into the internet banking site it says the e-mail and cell no do not match. My personal banker said I should contact the call centre to resolve the matter. I tried this but after hanging on for ages the call from Canada to South Africa became to costly. Why should I be negatively affected by a change implemented unilaterally by Standard bank? Please resolve, I need to do transfers before month-end for Dt-orders going off.
