Standard Bank insurance "Passing the Buck" contact the Ombutsman.......
I have used Standard a bank insurance co for over 30 years Infact I have 3 properties insured with them.December last year after 2 weeks leave I came back to a flooded bathroom.on contacting the company they confirmed that I could contact my plumber with-in hours a contractor came out to quote for my oregan pine floor admitting that this was an insurance claim we sent the plumbers report which was a faulty fitting.We then received notice that we were not covered .No one can explain why previous claims eg leak in roof I was covered not for repair for roof but damage. The cost to fix my floors R58.000 The plumbing we have correct why are we not insured for the damage caused by plumbing malfunction ?
