Standard Bank incompetency

A few weeks ago, out of the blue Standard Bank decided to freeze my card, just to mention, I am not the main account holder. After consulting with the Bank, according to them, they need some compliance documentation. With that in mind we needed to fica/rica, whatever you want to call it, a few times. Some guy from Standard Bank phoned me and ask me the following questions: 1: confirm address- which I did 2: my monthly icome - which I refused, as he did not provide me with brackets to choose from. After nearly 10min on the call I enquire if he needs more information as he was wasting my time. No he said, that’s all, my card will now be “unfreezed” On 12 December 13:08, and keep in mind, calls are recorded, a lady from Standard Bank called and apologised profusely about the inconvenience etc, and promise she will make a note that this will never happen again. Well what a surprise. 24 December when I want to use my card, it keeps on reject as declined, and thats when I came to the conclusion that my card has been “freezed” again. With all the holidays we have to wait till to today, 28 Dec to finally get an email from someone from the bank. According to him, regardless of the few times we’ve rica/fica, the ID photos does not look the same……. Now I have to send copies of my ID and Passport, and they will “unfreeze”it again. They are supposed to have all the documentation, but some or other way I think they shred it or something, and what is the easiest to get the matter sorted. Freeze the clients card, they will resend all the necessary documentation and voilà…. Go and listen to the calls recorded and then sort this matter, whatever you did with my documentation. Oh and they need proof of residence for me, for crying out loud, I am married and stay with my husband, I don’t have any proof whatsoever. Now my husband needs to complete a form, stating that I am living with him. I can’t do incompetency. Do your work properly.
