Standard Bank incapable of resolving my deceased fathers estate.
Standard Bank was appointed, by my father, as the executor of his estate. My father passed in Nov 2016 and an officer was appointed to attend to resolving his estate. Apart from a few minor issues the estate was not complicated, however, Standard Bank been utterly *********** in getting the estate closed. Their communication generally consists of robotic acknowledgements of my complaints but with no proactive follow up or resolution.
I appreciate that COVID occurred over this period, but Standard Bank has had 6 years to close the estate. To add insult to injury they had the audacity to send me a pamphlet last year outlining THEIR costs along with a statement that they typically resolve estates in " less than 15 months". I am now heading into year 7.
If you have lodged your will with Standard Bank or you have appointed them as the executors of your estate, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. They are useless.
Let's see what transpires after you have had "a closer look".
