Standard bank “How can we ***** from you”

Standard Bank transferred money from my cheque account to my credit card account for the amount of R50 and they charged me R45 for the transaction. The transfer transaction was done without my agreement and the two accounts are not linked at all. This is very concerning considering the bank is supposed to protect its customers from ********** transactions and here is the bank transacting in my accounts without my authority.

I know economically everyone is under pressure to make profits but you don’t ***** from clients like this. Why would I like to transfer R50 and be charged R45?

I phoned the bank and after a long wait I was eventually given a reference number: ********** 44 because the bank has to investigate why the transaction was processed and who authorized it. I would recommend everyone with a standard bank account to investigate what is happening in their accounts as I believe the bank might be doing funny transactions on behalf of individuals. "Moving Africa Backward"
