Standard Bank Home Loans sucks ass

App**** for a bond (home loan) from numerous banks, with Standard Bank giving the best interest rate. As soon as we were committed to them all customer service went out of the window, to the point that the transfer was almost delayed and we would have had to pay a penalty. They quoted the bond on the wrong property, then changed the interest rate to be higher than competitors. When we queried it, they just said that their rates are subject to change (after an agreement had been reached and we even went as far as opening a bank account with them to get the best rates). Eventually we told them to ****** off and went with ABSA. Standard Bank wen back on a written agreement, had horrible client service and communication and couldn't even bother when we tried to sort things out with them.
