Standard Bank home loans don't know what they are doing

Standard Bank home loans department seem to be completely ***********. They don't seem to know how their own procedures and how things work. I bought a home in July last year, The purchase price was 2,8m and I registered a bond for 3m. When the home loan was granted, I was told that the value of my property was 3,9m and that was the amount I had to insure the property for with home owners comprehensive insurance. Now that I want to apply for the funds that I registered for future use, I am told that the value of my property is 2,85m. So how does my property lose over 1.1m in value just over 6 months? And if as they say, the insured value is always more than the actual value, why was i asked to insure the property for over 1.1m more than the actual value?? Is that not grossly over insurance?
