Standard Bank Home Loans - a bunch of sharks!

Standard Bank Home Loans is the worst bank ever. I sold my house and everything was submitted to the conveyancing attorneys on the 17th of July 2020. I started getting calls from the Home Loans department in December saying my account is in arrears, only to find out they haven't even started working on the transfer. Documents have been sent to and from, and eventually in August 2021 the bank's attorneys started actioning the transaction. When the documents were ready to be signed, the bank charged me with all the interest for more than a year, even though they were the ones who dragged the process out. I requested that the bank revisit the account and they embarked on a three-month investigation, requesting all the correspondance from the conveyancing attorney. Now, after all this time, Standard Bank refuses to come to some form of agreement with the interest, and further threatens me that if I don't sign the documents within 3 days they will cancel the transaction in total. I find this is the worst bank ever!

Thanks for the response, Complaint Resolution Centre, but what exactly will be addressed and by when? Christa Gruyvenstein from Earl Grey Properties said that she has never seen a transaction taking this long from any bank in her 40 years of being an Estate Agent!

Standard Bank Home Loans department changed attorneys two or three times during this process, and has taken since July 2020 to get their asses in gear and now I must fit a R300k interest bill?

This is not fair in any way and if someone does not give me an appropriate response, I intend to take the matter to the Ombudsman, the National Consumer Commission and the FSCA. I have not delayed the process and have comp**** with every single requirement. Due to the delay the house has been standing empty and now perpetrators have broken into the house and have ****** all the pipes and electrical wires. This is not a frustration; this is a nightmare of epic proportions!!
