Standard Bank Home Loan insurance rip-off?
I have a home loan with Standard bank which I am very thankful for (I've been banking with Standard bank for almost 40 years) but I took out my Home loan life assurance also with standard bank to pay the amount of R350 000 off if I die before the loan is paid off. At the moment I only owe R309 000 but I pay R1078 per month on insurance! I've been trying to get an explanation for months to get this premium down but they say it is not possible. I got an SMS on 10 February inviting me to only pay R142 per month and get a Rmillion life cover??? How do one explain this???
