STANDARD BANK FRUAD DIVISION... SOME STAFF THINK THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW

Today I recieved a call from a person telling me he is calling from the ***** division at standard bank...

also he need to confirm my last couple of transactions. He gave me my transactions and I confirmed them...

He then asked the reason for and instant money transaction I explained to him the was an emergency I had to attend to.

Now please note the number he call me from I had never seen ********** 000 Standard bank used. He also called me on a cell number that was not listed to my account.

Then he proceded to ask me where did you open your account. ...okay at this point I informed him that now the questions is making me uncomfortable as I can not be sure he is from where he said he was.

I suggested that as he called me he should give me my ID number As that will make me feel at ease that he was who he said he was ...Since his name at first striked me as made up nothing personal you just cant be to safe ( Dilo Fingo) that is what he said his name was when I asked.

Well after asking him to provide me with proof that he called me from Standard bank the little pr*ck refused...and followed with the following statement..."If you refuse to confirm the security check I will put a block on your bank account and Stop your payment".

I was calm till then I exploded wanted to know why he cant confirm my details meet me half way. He just kept on if you want access to your account you now have to go to a Standard bank to have this lifted.

Now here is my thing I have a family member standing on a station after being ****** waiting for a bus that is depending on that voucher. He just casually said he now has blocked.

When I asked numerous times to speak to a supervisor he just continuelly insisted you have to go to a standard bank I ended up screaming let me speak to a f@*#$k supervisor. He put the phone down.

I eventually called back Spoke to Elvis Kgagiso who said he cant do anything but he will give Dilo Fingo's Team leader a message to call me. I received a sms there after from the ***** division reading " Dear client . Please contact Standard Bank Online ***** on + ********** 0070 option 1. Reference number is your card number ending with :....."

I called the number a agent called ***rie attemted to assist me successfully. During this I have come to have know that there is no way that the Standard ***** division know how to give you as a Client verification that it is Standard bank on the other side of the line.

Also I learned that some of them can be down right spitefull... As ***rie informed me that my bank card was listed as a HOT card by DILO FINGO and the emergency transaction I have performed was blocked and a hold place on the money...something like that.....

This person become so ****y that he felt when he did not know how to improvise and meet a client halfway to take the above action and then tried to blame me for by placing a comment on the system that reads "The client refused to do the verifications" For my verification I needed know who I was dealing with.

As a client I worked for my money that is in my account and HAVE THE RIGHT TO CONFIRM THAT I AM DEALING WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE WHEN THEY WANT TO KNOW MY BANKING DETAILS.

Thank you Peter for the platform
