Standard Bank *****

Standard bank phoned me in June 2016 asking if I am trying to open an account, because someone is trying to. I told them NOOOO, they said they will handle it, I thought crisis avoided.

In December I tried to open an account and was told that I’m blacklisted. I contacted Transunion and was told that there is a Bluebean account (Standard bank) opened in my name. I phoned Standard bank and they told me they cannot help me and need to go to a branch. I went to the branch in Sunninghill and was told that I have to phone in. I told them to phone in and they then argued with their *****lineJ. I was told to get documents from Home Affairs… I did everything and filled in all the forms. There was an amount of R170 outstanding on the account (I assume it is accumulated bank fees) and blacklisted me without sending me any statement or warning. In January debt collectors and lawyers started phoning me, threatening me. I phoned the *****line and they do not have anything on record in my name and can’t assist me.

Stay away. I have a shares trade account with Standard bank and is looking at how I can move it. I also opened a case at the police.
